Khaleda Zia returns home from hospital

Bangladesh Nationalist Party – BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia returned to her Gulshan residence Firoza after health check-up at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka. The BNP Chairperson reached her residence on Wednesday (Jun 18) night. Her personal physician Professor AZM Zahid Hossain said: "Madam's tests have been completed at the advice of the medical board. She returned to Firoza as the board decided to provide her treatment at home."

He said the medical board expects that the BNP chairperson's physical condition would further improve with the treatment at home.

Earlier, Khaleda Zia reached Evercare Hospital from Firoza at about 6:50 p.m. on Wednesday.

Khaleda Zia returned home on May 6 last after undergoing four-month of advanced treatment in London.

After arriving in Dhaka, a medical board under the supervision of Professor Shahabuddin Talukder, a specialist doctor at Evercare Hospital, is providing her with medical care at Firoza.

The BNP Chairperson received treatment under the supervision of specialist doctors at 'London Clinic' in London.
